Myles Davis was named the Big East Rookie of the Week after logging 14 points and four rebounds for the Musketeers as they beat Bowling Green 85-73 in overtime.
Teammate Semaj Christon also received recognition from the league after scoring 22 points against the Falcons.

BIG EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK Doug McDermott, F, Creighton McDermott averaged 27.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in a 2-0 week. In an 82-67 win against Nebraska, he posted 33 points and eight rebounds. McDermott scored 21 points in 22 minutes of playing time in a 79-61 victory at Long Beach State. He leads the BIG EAST in scoring with a 27.0 average.
BIG EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Myles Davis, G, Xavier Davis recorded 14 points and four rebounds in an 85-73 OT win against Bowling Green in Xavier’s only game of the week. He connected on a pair of 3-pointers in the extra session and has averaged 13.2 ppg over the last five games.
BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll Kellen Dunham, G, Butler Had 29 points, five rebounds and four assists in a win against North Dakota.
Sir’Dominic Pointer, F, St. John’s In a 104-58 win over Fordham, had 12 points, 11 assists, nine rebounds and no turnovers.
Sterling Gibbs, G, Seton Hall Averaged 21.5 points and 4.5 assists in a 2-0 week. Scored 27 points in a win at Rutgers.
JayVaughn Pinkston, F, Villanova Averaged 20.0 points and 7.5 in wins against Pennsylvania and at Saint Joseph’s.
Semaj Christon, G, Xavier Had 22 points, three assists and no turnovers in an OT win over Bowling Green. Tied the game in regulation and scored seven points in OT.
