Wolves waive Reiner after trade

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Timberwolves have waived center Jared Reiner, one day after acquiring another big man in a trade with Dallas.

Reiner signed with the Timberwolves as a free agent at the end of

September. He averaged 3.3 points and 3.7 rebounds in three preseason

games. He has previously had stints with Milwaukee and Chicago and

played college ball at Iowa.

He became

expendable when the Wolves sent a conditional second-round draft pick

in 2012 to the Mavericks on Tuesday for Nathan Jawai.
