What’s up with Flynn?

Anthony Maggio: It’s official. I simply can’t bear to watch Jonny Flynn play basketball anymore.

It’s not like the guy doesn’t have talent. He’s a good guy so I hate seeing his game devolve the way it has since his return from hip surgery over the summer. But when a 6-assist, 5-turnover game like he had on Wednesday constitutes your best game of the season, something needs to be done.

Coach Kurt Rambis has shown no indications of a willingness to re-send Flynn to the NBA Development League, instead deciding to give him regular minutes in the Wolves’ rotation. Since sitting out with a sprained ankle on New Year’s Day, Flynn is averaging 15.5 minutes per game, yet posting averages of 3.6 points, 2.2 assists, and 1.8 turnovers. And many of the turnovers are egregious
