The Xavier Musketeers learned the meaning of the phrase Saturday afternoon, when a clock malfunction resulted in 69-68 loss to Butler at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

With Butler controlling the ball down by one point with 39 seconds to play, Butler missed two three point shots, but Xavier was unable to get a rebound either time.
The second miss was batted out toward the three point line, causing a mad scramble on the floor. After Xavier center Kenny Frease corralled the ball with three seconds left, the ball was deflected when he tried to pass to Dante Jackson. Butler forward Gordon Hayward ended up with ball in his hands and laid it in for his 22nd point of the night.
