Tigers Lose a Linebacker

The Clemson football team lost its first player in preseason camp Monday when it was announced linebacker Scotty Cooper would retire from football due to an ongoing problem with his neck.

Cooper had played in 37 games in his career, including six as a starter.

Head coach Dabo Swinney made the announcement after the conclusion of Monday’s practice.
