*  Texas began fall camp Monday with a morning workout for the older players and an evening workout for the younger players. The two groups will practice separately again on Tuesday before coming together for the first time on Wednesday. That practice will be in shells (shoulder pads and helmets, but shorts), as will the practice on Thursday. Friday will be the first practice in full pads, and will mark the last practice before the start of two-a-days next week. 

*  Expectations remain the same as usual despite the loss of key players like Colt McCoy, Jordan Shipley, Lamarr Houston, Sergio Kindle and Earl Thomas. That makes sense, as the Longhorns have won at least 10 games for nine consecutive years. Texas, recently named No. 4 in the Coaches Poll, also has started, and finished, the season in the top-10 for five of the last six seasons.
