EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings said they wanted to bring back as much of last year’s playoff team as they could, and Thursday they kept another piece in their defensive backfield.
Backup safety Andrew Sendejo announced on his Twitter page that he has re-signed, writing, “Extremely blessed to re-sign with the @Vikings for another season! #Skol #Vikes.”
Sendejo, 25, played in 13 games last year, primarily on special teams. He had 11 special teams tackles and, along with Mistral Raymond and Robert Blanton, adds depth at safety behind starters Harrison Smith and Jamarca Sanford.
