MILWAUKEE — Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is back for a second inning on the mound in a Milwaukee Brewers uniform.
After the first of his ads promoting the sale of Brewers tickets was released three weeks ago, showing his “heat” out of a three-step drop at the mound, the second of five commercials filmed with the NFL MVP was released Tuesday, this time with a special focus on a certain rock on Rodgers’ finger.
With his real-life good friend and and last year’s National League MVP Ryan Braun at the plate, a bright glare from the mound stops Braun’s approach.

“Dude, do you have to wear that thing everywhere?” Braun asks Rodgers.
“What, this little thing?” Rodgers answers — of course, not many pitchers take the mound with 105 diamonds of Super Bowl bling. “I forget I even have it on sometimes.”
Rodgers led the Packers to a Super Bowl title in 2011 when Green Bay beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 31-25.
Brewers pitcher Yovani Gallardo and catcher Jonathan Lucroy also appear in the 30-second spot — this one entitled “Glare.” And after general manager Doug Melvin and manager Ron Roenicke critiqued Rodgers’ performance on the mound in the team’s first commercial — his delivery needs work, apparently — it’s Gallardo who’s shaking his head this time.
