The Phoenix Mercury on Monday announced their preseason schedule for the 2012 season, with the long game on the slate a matchup with the Japanese National Team on Tuesday, May 8, at US Airways Center.
The game will be played during the second week of training camp, which opens on April 29, in preparation for the season opener at the defending WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx on May 20 at 9:30 a.m. Phoenix time. The game will be nationally televised on ABC.
The Mercury will make their regular-season home debut on Saturday, May 26, against the Los Angeles Sparks, who own the first pick in the 2012 WNBA draft. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at US Airways Center.
