Kentucky-Louisville rivalry takes a nasty turn

We’re less than two weeks away from the Governor’s Cup, which is the proper name for the annual Kentucky-Louisville football game. Tensions have been running especially hot this year; UofL being probable kings of a weakened Big East and Kentucky refusing to relive the disappointments of last season, seeing this game as a must-win if there are Bowl hopes or any chance of Joker Phillips keeping his job.
So in Louisville this past weekend, a city divided by polarizing team interests, I ran across the first real attack in the harsh Commonwealth rivalry:
It seems that Louisville Head Coach Charlie Strong has taken a Sharpie to the tooth. Say it isn’t so!
Not even the cardboard cutouts at Kroger are safe from the fan fighting. If someone writes “sucks” under the UK logo on Joker Phillips’ shirt, Louisvillians probably shouldn’t leave their houses until Labor Day. It simply isn’t safe.
