FOX Sports North announced today that Jamie Hersch has joined the FOX Sports North team as a sideline reporter and host for the regional sports network, primarily covering Minnesota Twins, Wild and Gopher Hockey. Hersch is scheduled to make her debut on the network Sunday, February 17.
A Minnesota native, Hersch has been part of the Twin Cities media scene since the age of 17. As a Champlin Park High School student, she covered the MSHSL state football, hockey and basketball tournaments as a ‘student on the sidelines’ for KMSP and KSTP. She went on to pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Southern California, where she worked for USC’s Annenberg TV News.

Hersch returned to the Midwest to join WKOW in Madison, Wis., where she spent time as a news anchor and reporter for one year before making a full-time switch to the sports department. Her work as a weekend sports anchor and sports reporter earned her multiple awards from the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, including best specialty programming and sports reporting. She covered the Badger football team three straight Rose Bowls, the Packers in the Super Bowl, the Badger basketball team’s Sweet 16 appearances in Boston and New Orleans as well as coverage of Wisconsin’s prep tournaments.
“I’m thrilled to return home to the Twin Cities to cover the teams I grew up cheering for,” Hersch said. “This opportunity with FOX Sports North will allow me to connect with other Minnesotans on the teams we all love.”
“Jamie is a perfect fit for FOX Sports North,” said FOX Sports North Executive Producer Tony Tortorici. “We value her connection to Minnesota sports and the enthusiasm she’ll bring to the job.”
