Florida DB verbally commits to Ohio State
Ohio State beat Michigan, moved into position to win a Big Ten championship and get a chance to play for a national championship and picked a verbal commitment in a very busy weekend for the football program.
Jamel Dean, a junior defensive back from Cocoa, Fla., became the second member of Ohio State’s 2015 recruiting class when he offered a verbal commitment Sunday night.
A three-star prospect according to Scout.com, Dean also has offers from Florida, Miami (Fla.), Mississippi State and Temple.
Scout recruiting reporter Derek Young spoke with Dean after his decision and reported tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator Tim Hinton deserved recognition for helping Dean decide to be a Buckeye in the future.
