Here are my five fantasy tiers for second basemen during exhibition play, with a nod toward 5×5 roto leagues.
Given the volatility and relative scarcity of this position, it’s eminently doable that likely studs like Josh Rutledge (Rockies), Jedd Gyorko (Padres) and Kolten Wong (Cardinals) could move up one tier in the next four weeks.
The great thing about it, though: Prospective owners would still be able to land any of the trio for a late-round (or even last-round) price in 12-team, 25-round drafts.

In other words, after the first two tiers … it might be worth the risk to shoot for the moon.
