The Blue Jackets placed right wing Derek Dorsett on injured reserve today, retroactive to Feb. 11.
Dorsett was injured last Friday after falling on his head after a collision with now retired Avalanche forward Peter Forsberg.
The 24-year-old forward has nine points on the season (3 G, 6 A) and is second on the team in penalty minutes with 119, trailing only Jared Boll.

With the loss of Dorsett, Columbus has called up John Moore from the Springfield Falcons. The 20-year-old defenseman made his NHL debut earlier this year and has 19 points (3 G, 16 A) for Springfield this season. He was the 21st pick in the 2009 NHL Draft.
