On Wednesday, the NFL suspended Smith for the remaining preseason games and Week 1 of the regular season. Houston general manager Rick Smith said Smith planned to appeal.
According to the Post, the report said Incognito and friends of his were trying to get close to a performer on stage at Liv when a security guard asked them to step back. Somebody from Incognito’s group allegedly cursed at the security guard and a fight ensued.
Incognito, who reportedly said he was trying to break up the fight when he got hit in the face by a guard, was escorted out of the club along with his entourage.
The Post reported Incognito received a trespassing warning by Miami Beach police and was “advised not to return,” according to police.
ESPN reported there was video of the incident but the hotel was refusing to share it with the NFL. The league declined comment, but Incognito may still have violated the league’s personal conduct policy.
