The Red Wings locked up the No. 5 seed on the final day of the regular season, defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 on Sunday in overtime in Chicago. Brad Stuart scored the game-winner at 3:11 of overtime to help Detroit improve to 13-1-2 in its final 16 games and 16-3-2 since the Olympic break. Had Detroit lost, Los Angeles would have been the No. 5 seed.

The two teams split four regular season matchups, with the Coyotes getting both of their  wins in overtime: 3-2 on Oct. 22 in Phoenix and 5-4 on Jan. 26 in Detroit. The Red Wings notched both of their wins in regulation: 3-2 on Dec. 14 in Detroit and 4-1 on Jan. 2 in Phoenix.

Keith Yandle and Matthew Lombardi had two goals apiece against Detroit during the season, and Shane Doan registered a goal and four assists. For Detroit, Pavel Datsyuk had two goals and four assists against the Coyotes.

Note: If there is a conflict between Coyotes playoff hockey and a previously scheduled Diamondbacks telecast on FOX Sports Arizona, the Diamondbacks games will move to an alternate channel.
