Football Sets Homecoming Game Time Against Miami (OH)
CINCINNATI – The 117th Battle for the Victory Bell pitting the University of Cincinnati against Miami (OH) University, will kick off at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 and be televised on FOX Sports Ohio.
The annual game, which is the oldest NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision non-conference rivalry, will serve as UC’s 2012 homecoming celebration.
The first meeting between the two schools, which took place on Dec. 8, 1888 in Oxford, was the first collegiate football game played in the State of Ohio. The traveling trophy, a bell painted black and white, has been a tradition since 1890. Miami (OH) leads the all-time series 59-50-7 but UC has won six-straight games, including a 27-0 victory in Yager Stadium in 2011.
The Bearcats’ remaining game times will be announced at a later date per the conditions of UC’s media rights agreement through the BIG EAST.
Season tickets for the 125th campaign of UC Football are on sale now. Ticket packages include tickets in the same location for seven home games at Nippert Stadium, an opportunity to purchase season-long parking, priority seating and invitation to select events. In recognition of UC’s upcoming 125th football season, tickets start as low as $125 per seat in the `Coaches Corner’, which is a perfect opportunity for new season ticket holders.
