Chizik expects more from Tigers’ line

Auburn, Ala.– The 14th-ranked Auburn Tigers (3-0) lead the nation in passing efficiency but have just 30 completions in three games this year. Part of the reason for that has been inconsistent play on the offensive line that has resulted in too many scramble situations for quarterback Cameron Newton.

Facing a South Carolina defense that has been strong against the run this year but torched at times by the pass, it would be tempting to throw the ball more this weekend to attack the Gamecock secondary but coach Gene Chizik said nothing will change for his offense other than the way they execute the plays called.
