The Arizona Cardinals announced Tuesday that the team signed outside linebacker Alex Hall and released linebacker Cyril Oboizor. In addition, the Cardinals released linebacker Curtis Gatewood from the practice squad.
Hall (6-foot-5, 250 pounds) spent the preseason with the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants until being released by the Giants on September 4. He was traded to the Eagles on April 2 after spending his first two seasons with the Cleveland Browns. Hall appeared in 30 games (two starts) over the past two seasons for the Browns and collected 30 tackles (21 solos), three sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
He was released by the Eagles on July 28 and was claimed by the Giants off of waivers the following day. He originally was drafted by the Browns in the seventh round (231st overall) of the 2008 draft out of St. Augustine
