Arizona State football coach Todd Graham announced the addition of six new staff members, including former ASU standout Rudy Burgess and former Scottsdale Saguaro head coach John Sanders.
Burgess, a 2007 alumnus, will join the staff as the Management Intern for Football and returns to ASU after a short professional stint in the Arena Football League. He was one of the most versatile athletes in ASU history, having played wide receiver, tailback, cornerback, kickoff and punt returner and also throwing a touchdown pass during his Sun Devil career.
Sanders, who named coordinator of football operations, was relieved of his duties at Saguaro in January despite leading the Sabercasts to four state championships in five seasons. He will be responsible for helping oversee the day-to-day operations of the football program. He compiled a 62-7 record at Saguaro.
