The Phoenix Suns have decided on their next general manager, and it isn’t Bucks assistant general manager Jeff Weltman.

Weltman, 48, will instead return to Milwaukee’s front office where he’s played an integral role since coming over from Detroit with general manager John Hammond in 2008. Prior to his five seasons as Milwaukee’s assistant general manager, Weltman served one season as Detroit’s director of basketball administration.
After serving as a video coordinator, scout and as the director of player personnel with the Clippers over 13 years, Weltman spent five seasons (2001-2006) as the assistant general manager under Kiki Vandeweghe in Denver.
