Boston Magazine cover you gotta see

Last week’s tragic bombings at the Boston Marathon

produced some stunning, if heartbreaking, imagery, which led to

some of the more poignant magazine tribute covers you’ll ever

see — from

New Yorker and

Illustrated to

Magazine and others.

But perhaps no magazine set the tone quite like Boston Magazine

did with its cover for the May issue of the publication, its first

since the bombings. The cover image, which the magazine tweeted out

Thursday morning, shows a heart formed out of dozens of colorful

pairs of shoes from the marathon, with the words, “We Will

Finish The Race” in the middle.

The gorgeous piece of artwork perfectly captures the undaunted

spirit of the city of Boston as it begins to recover from the

brutal attacks, serving as a reminder of all the good in people

that was able to shine through in the face of something so

evil.

Here’s an
