The Bengals trimmed their roster to 81 Sunday by releasing six players. Gone from the roster are tight Richard Quinn, defensive tackle Vaughn Meatoga, wide receiver Jheranie Boyd, cornerback Terrence Brown, kicker/punter Quinn Sharp and linebacker Jordan Campbell.
Quinn’s contract was terminated, making the fifth-year player a free agent available to sign with any team. The other five players have been waived and must go through the waiver wire process.

The Bengals still must cut another six players by Tuesday to reach the NFL-mandated 75-man roster limit. The Bengals host Indianapolis on Thursday in the final preseason game for both teams. Teams have to cut down to the regular season limit of 53 players by next Saturday, Aug 31.
