The Wisconsin hockey squad used a late flurry to blow past Alabama-Huntsville Friday night, in Madison.
Huntsville owned an early, 1-0 lead, before the host Badgers posted a pair of goals in both the second and third periods. Wisconsin’s Joseph LaBate got his team rolling, scoring the Badgers’ first goal at the 2:25 mark of the first period.
Wisconsin, now 4-7-5 overall, also got goals from Brendan Woods, Derek Lee and Kevin Schulze. Badgers netminder Joel Rumpel added 21 saves.
Huntsville (3-14-1) got 26 saves from John Griggs in a losing effort.
