Right-hander Brady Rodgers threw a complete game, giving up just one earned run on four hits while striking out three.
Rodgers (4-1) took his first loss of the season despite allowing just four base runners on three singles, a home run and no walks. It was the third complete game of the season for Rodgers, who is now four strikeouts away from 200 in his career.
The Sun Devils got two hits from Andrew Aplin, including a double in the fourth inning, as he extended his hitting streak to seven games.
The Ducks scored the only run of the game with a solo home run just inside the left-field foul pole in the sixth inning to take a 1-0 lead.

Joey DeMichele hit a solo home run to right field in the top of the ninth inning to cut the Sun Devils’ deficit to two, but they were unable to complete the late-game comeback.
Kasey Coffman collected his third multi-hit game of the season with a pair of singles, and Deven Marrero added a double.
Right-hander Trevor Williams (5-2) went seven innings and took the loss, striking out four while surrendering three earned runs on six hits.
The Ducks got on the board first with a solo home run to left field to take a 1-0 lead.
Oregon threatened again in the sixth, putting runners on first and second with just one out, but Williams was able to escape the frame unscathed. The Ducks added to their lead in the seventh, though, getting a solo homer and a RBI double to make it 3-0.
ASU responded with consecutive base hits with one out in the top of the eighth inning, but a double play in the ensuing at-bat ended the Devils’ half of the frame.
Oregon right-hander Jake Reed (2-2) earned the win, allowing no runs on five hits in 7 1/3 innings.
