Another game, another umpire controversy for Twins

MINNEAPOLIS — Complaining about the umpires is a loser’s lament, but when the Twins are playing the Yankees in the postseason, it seems to be an all-too familiar theme.

Home plate umpire Hunter Wendelstedt cost the Twins a run with a botched call in the seventh inning, breaking a 2-2 tie and sending the Twins to a 5-2 loss in Game 2 of their ALDS series at Target Field.
