Resort names drink after Kotsenburg, but he can’t snowboard there
Sage Kotsenburg won the first gold medal for the USA this year. The snowboarder is pretty much a celebrity now because he is rocking out in Sochi.
That star has risen over here, too, thanks in large part to social media. He has made popular the hashtag #spoicy. He has also helped get Park City, Utah some pub, since that is where he calls home these days.
A resort that resides in Park City has also tried to give Kotsenburg some pub by naming a drink after him. Deer Valley ski resort has named a drink in his honor. Check it out:

The irony of it all that is being pointed out? Deer Valley does not allow snowboarders, so even if Kotsenburg wanted to go have the drink in his honor, he would not be able to do the one thing that has brought him notoriety.
That does not seem “spoicy” to us.
