President Obama makes good on Olympic bet, sends beer to Canada

The beer has landed. 


More than two weeks after the Canadian men’€™s and women’€™s hockey teams swept the United States out of the 2014 Winter Olympics, President Barack Obama’€™s victory present finally arrived north of the border.

President Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper had wagered a case of beer on each Olympic matchup (the women’€™s final and men’s semifinal) before the games took place in Sochi. Canada was victorious in both —€” as it was four years ago in Vancouver —€” and Harper now has a whole bunch of specially-made White House brew at his disposal.
