LIENZ, Austria (AP) Frida Hansdotter posted the fastest time in the opening run of a women's World Cup slalom on Tuesday.
Chasing her third career win, the Swede timed 52.91 seconds on the Schlossberg course to lead Wendy Holdener of Switzerland by 0.11 and Michaela Kirchgasser of Austria by 0.39.
Petra Vlhova of Slovakia, who won the previous slalom in Are, Sweden, two weeks ago, was sixth and had 0.80 to make up in the second run.

Hansdotter, the only skier to reach the podium in all three slaloms this season, leads the discipline standings with 220 points, 20 clear of Mikaela Shiffrin. The Olympic champion from the United States won the first two races this season but is out recovering from a knee injury.
