Varejao questionable for Cavs Tuesday night
The Cleveland Cavaliers provided an update on a pair of injured players Tuesday prior to their scheduled visit from the New Orleans Pelicans:
Cavaliers forward/center Anderson Varejao experienced a left knee contusion and hyperextension during the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns at Quicken Loans Arena. He was examined by Cavaliers Head Team Physician Dr. Richard Parker Monday at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health and an MRI there also confirmed the injury. He will be fitted with a brace to play and is listed as QUESTIONABLE (50/50) for tonight’s game at The Q against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Cavaliers guard/forward Carrick Felix left the Canton Charge game on Saturday in Delaware against the 87ers with a left knee injury in the fourth quarter. An MRI has revealed a Left Patellar Stress Fracture. He is OUT from all basketball activity and the timetable for his return is approximately six to eight weeks.
