UC football to hold signing day dinner

CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati football team, in conjunction with UCATS will play host to its annual signing day dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, Head Coach Tommy Tuberville announced Friday.

This year’s event will be held at The Phoenix, located at 812 Race Street in downtown Cincinnati. The evening begins with a social hour and silent auction from 6-7 p.m., followed by dinner and an exclusive look at UC’s 2014 football signing class with video highlights and remarks from Tuberville and his staff. The Voice of the Bearcats Dan Hoard is scheduled to be the event’s emcee.

The event is open to the public. Tickets are priced at $150 apiece, which includes a meal, drink tickets and valet parking. Tables of eight are available for $1,100 and those participants will be seated with a member of the coaching staff. All funds raised will benefit the UC football program.

This dinner is not open to prospective student-athletes or their relatives/legal guardians due to it taking place during a recruiting dead period.

UC fans will also have the chance to take home some exclusive UC football memorabilia available in a silent auction. Past auction items have included signed memorabilia from Bearcats in the NFL, prototype helmets, autographed photos, jerseys, and signed bowl items. This year’s auction items will be announced closer to the event date.
