Report: LeBron James asks Kevin Love to join him in Cleveland
LeBron James announced his return to Cleveland last week and is now trying to recruit big-name talent to help him lift the Cavaliers to prominence.
"Love is enthusiastic about the idea of teaming with James on the Cavaliers," sources told Wojnarowski.
"James’ decision to sign only a two-year contract that affords him the option of again becoming a free agent at the end of next season has not tempered Love’s interest in joining James on the roster."
The report comes as no surprise, as James helped recruit free agents Mike Miller and James Jones, who signed with the Cavaliers earlier this week. James is also reportedly working on Ray Allen to team up with him in Cleveland, according to FOX Sports Ohio’s Sam Amico.
The Cavs and Timberwolves have had ongoing talks about a trade for Love, but the two teams aren’t close on a deal, according to Amico. Several sources familiar with the talks strongly refuted earlier reports that No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins is being made available in a deal for Love.
