Monsters unveil sharp CBJ-themed jersey

Hockey in the state of Ohio is more closely linked than ever.

The Lake Erie Monsters’ new jersey for the 2015-16 season represents just that. Now the AHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets after years of being the Colorado Avalanche’s farm team, the Monsters will rep some Ohio pride at The Q.

The Blue Jackets are up in northeast Ohio Tuesday and Wednesday practicing in Strongsville and taking part in team-building activities.

Friday is the first puck drop for both the Blue Jackets and Monsters, as Lake Erie begins on the road at Rochester and Columbus hosts the New York Rangers.

You can watch the Monsters this season on FOX Sports Ohio on Jan. 22, Feb. 20 and March 25.
