CANTON, Ohio — The Milwaukee Bucks have called up point guard Jorge Gutierrez of the NBA D-League’s Canton Charge.

Gutierrez was signed to a 10-day contract Wednesday, Bucks general manager John Hammond announced. Gutierrez, 26, became the 23rd D-League call-up of the season.

He spent six games with the Charge and averaged 15.2 points, 6.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds in 35.7 minutes per game. He began the year with the Brooklyn Nets, where he averaged 1.6 points in 10 games before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers on Dec. 11. The Sixers waived Gutierrez the next day.

Gutierrez went undrafted out of the University of California before starting his pro career with the Charge in 2012. He started 35 games in 2013 before being signed by the Nets. In 15 games with the Nets last season, he averaged 4.1 points and 2.1 assists.

The Charge are the official D-League affiliate of the Cavaliers.
