Michael Johnson returns to practice

Bengals defensive end Michael Johnson was cleared by doctors and had full participation in Friday’s practice, his first practice since suffering a concussion at Cleveland on Sept. 29. Johnson is listed as questionable to play in Sunday’s game at Buffalo but it is a marked improvement.

Cornerback Leon Hall is also listed as questionable against the Bills but he went through full participation on Friday, giving the team hope he will be able to play. Hall injured his hamstring against Green Bay on Sept. 22 and has missed the last two games.

Two other Bengals are questionable — linebacker Michael Boley (hamstring) and cornerback Brandon Ghee (thigh) — while offensive lineman Mike Pollak (knee) and starting right tackle Andre Smith (shoulder) are probable. Smith and right guard Kevin Zeitler will have to contend with Buffalo linemen Alan Branch and Kyle Williams.

For the Bills, wide receiver Stevie Johnson, cornerback Stephon Gilmore and running back C.J. Spiller are all listed as questionable to play Sunday. Johnson is Buffalo’s leading receiver with 20 catches for 254 yards and two touchdowns. He suffered a lower back injury in Buffalo’s last game at Cleveland and has missed the last two days of practice because of a death in the family.

Gilmore has had a wrist injury, while Spiller has been bothered by an ankle injury. Spiller has rushed for 296 yards while splitting carries with Fred Jackson. He had a 54-yard touchdown run against the Browns on Oct. 3.
