Lauren Hill appears on Wheaties box; is ‘Ellen’ next?
First appearing on a Wheaties box, next "The Ellen Degeneres Show"?
From the sounds of things, that is the hope for fans of Lauren Hill, the Cincinnati Mount St. Joseph’s basketball player whose courageous battle with a rare brain tumor has captured the attention of the sports world.
Pictures of a smiling Hill with the iconic cereal box were posted on Facebook on Wednesday while the #GetLaurenOnEllen hashtag burned up Twitter, from sources such as Bengals cornerback Adam Jones to international pop star Justin Bieber.

LeBron James is one of many who have been moved by Hill’s story. James posted this message on Instagram on Monday: "You are simply and truly ‘AMAZING’ Lauren Hill!!! Thank you for inspiring me and I’ll try my best to match you! Congrats on your game. Also be looking out for a package from I to You! You’re Awesome!!!"
Last week, Hill issued to James the "Layup 4 Lauren" challenge, an idea similar to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in which someone attempts a layup after spinning several times and then challenges three others to do the same.
Then on Sunday, Hill made her highly-publicized debut and scored a pair of layups. Afterward she said "I’ve never felt so good in my entire life."
The NCAA made a special exception to move up Mount St. Joseph’s opener to give Hill a better shot to get on the court.
