Despite being one of the hottest names in the trade deadline market, Jay Bruce has continued to dominate this season in a Reds uniform.

The All-Star outfielder’s swing has been as smooth and as powerful as ever, and on Wednesday afternoon he joined six other players in team history with an impressive feat.

In the seventh inning, Bruce broke a 1-1 tie to give Cincinnati the lead and became the seventh Reds player to hit a home run in five consecutive games.

Devin Mesoraco was the last Red to accomplish the achievement two years ago.
