Is Blake Bortles the top-rated QB in this year’s draft?

Two of the four quarterback-needy teams picking in the top five are rating Central Florida's Blake Bortles as the top signal-caller over Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater and Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel, according to reports.

With the NFL Scouting Combine coming up this week, it has officially become smokescreen season.

One of the biggest questions going into the combine will be, if Johnny Manziel doesn’t go No. 1, who will?

Although most draft experts are projecting Manziel to be the first QB selected, there is no clear-cut top choice quarterback. But according to a report, one could be emerging.

" has spoken with sources with two of the four quarterback-needy teams picking in the top five, and both of those teams are rating Central Florida’s Blake Bortles as the top signal-caller over Louisville’s Teddy Bridgewater and Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel. However, both of those teams see flaws in all three quarterbacks to the point that these sources think their organizations would get a better player by passing on the quarterbacks."

The report also says that teams are concerned about Bridgewater’s frame and Manziel’s size, which might not hold up to the punishment of the NFL.

Bortles, however, is viewed as having "the best NFL skill set with size, athleticism, intelligence and arm strength."

Keep in mind, ’tis the season for misleading, distorted NFL draft rumors, so take this one with a grain of salt.

Is Central Florida’s Blake Bortles the top-rated quarterback? He just might be, at least with "nearly half of the clubs in the top five."
