Kluber joins Feller & McDowell in Indians franchise history with fourth straight 200-strikeout season

Corey Kluber just continues to make waves as the true ace of the Cleveland Indians.

Returning from an ankle sprain suffered just five days ago in Kansas City, it was unknown whether the 30-year-old right-hander would be good to go Wednesday night. But instead of skipping a start, he racked up yet another accolade to add to his resume.

After making quick work of the top half of the Boston Red Sox lineup, Kluber struck out his 200th batter of the season to finish off punching out the side in the second inning.

It's the fourth consecutive season that he has accomplished the feat with the Tribe and puts his name among the greatest pitchers in franchise history (Bob Feller 1938-41, Sam McDowell 1965-70) who also have. In regards to his fellow competitors, only Chris Sale and Max Scherzer can say they've done the same over the last four years.
