Indians minor leaguer hit with suspension
The Commissioner’s Office announced on Wednesday that Indians minor-leaguer Tyler Sturdevant has received a 50-game suspension after a violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Sturdevant tested positive for Amphetamine, which is a stimulant. The right-hander is currently on Columbus’ roster but split last season between Akron and Columbus. He was 2-2 with eight saves and a 2.65 ERA.
Sturdevant is the third Indians minor-league who has received a suspension during the offseason.
