Cavs’ Marion expected out two weeks
CLEVELAND – Cavaliers forward Shawn Marion is expected to miss approximately two weeks with a left hip strain, team officials said Tuesday.
Marion, 36, is expected to retire at the end of the season. He is averaging a career-low 4.9 points in 20 minutes per game, but has started at shooting guard and backed up LeBron James at small forward, and has been praised by Cavs coach David Blatt for his locker room presence.
The Cavs (35-22) have won 16 of 18 games heading into Tuesday’s game at Detroit. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m. on FOX Sports Ohio.
