Thanks to an unfortunate break during his second at-bat of Sunday's game, Billy Hamilton's day was cut short.
On a 1-1 count, the Reds' center fielder checked his swing and took a called strike. Immediately after it happened, Hamilton held his side in discomfort. Seeing him grimace in pain, Cincinnati skipper Bryan Price went to go check on the situation with the team's trainer Steve Baumann.
After careful consideration, both Hamilton and the Reds decided to play it safe and pull him from the game.
According to the team, it was officially diagnosed it as a strained left oblique.
Tyler Holt finished Hamilton's at-bat and entered the game for Cincinnati.
