Charge obtain Uzoh in trade

CANTON, Ohio — The Canton Charge have obtained guard Ben Uzoh from the Texas Legends for a third-round draft pick, Charge officials said Wednesday.

Uzoh spent two games with the Cavaliers during the 2011-12 season. He also played a combined 62 games with the Nets and Raptors.

Uzoh had played in 22 games with Tulsa this season (all starts) and is averaging 12.3 points on .431 shooting with 4.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists. Last year with the Springfield Armor, he played in all 50 games (47 starts) and averaged 12.6 points. Uzoh also played with Rio Grande Valley during the 2011-12 season and Springfield on assignment in 2010-11.

Canton had previously acquired the pick from Texas on Nov. 6 in exchange for the rights to center Micheal Eric.

The Charge own the rights to seven 2014 D-League draft picks: six of their original selections (first, second, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth) as well as Los Angeles’ second round choice.
