Cavs’ G/F Karasev assigned to Charge

CLEVELAND — The Cavaliers have assigned rookie guard/forward Sergey Karasev to the Canton Charge of the NBA D-League, Cavs general manager announced Friday.

This is Karasev’s second stint with the Charge.

With the Cavs, he has appeared in 14 games, compiling averages of 2.2 and 1.0 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per game. He scored 16 points in his lone Canton appearance (Dec. 11).

The Charge (8-3) play two games at the Canton Memorial Civic Center this weekend: Saturday vs. the Reno Bighorns (7 p.m.), and Sunday vs. the Erie BayHawks (5 p.m.).
