Charge split road trip after falling in Maine

Canton trailed just 43-42 at intermission thanks in part to a strong opening half from Chris Crawford. The wing led all scorers with 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting, while the Charge as a team shot 39%. The Red Claws matched them by nailing 11-of-20 attempts (55%) of their own and evening Canton’s point total to maintain a one point advantage at 72-71 heading into the final frame. The third quarter alone featured 17 lead changes and nine ties.
With Maine leading 79-76, the Charge began heating up with a 10-2 run to pull ahead for their largest lead of the night at 88-81 and 4:17 left. The Red Claws then dug in to force four Canton misses and three turnovers the rest of the game on a 13-2 run to pull ahead for the win.
