Charge acquire Travis McKie

The Canton Charge, presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, have acquired forward Travis McKie (6’7", 220, Wake Forest), the team announced today. The roster now stands at 12, with 10 active players and two on the inactive list.

In his four-year career at Wake Forest (2010-14), McKie played in 127 games and averaged 13.3 points on .463 shooting with 6.4 rebounds and 1.0 steal in 31.7 minutes per game. He currently ranks fourth all-time for the ACC in minutes played (4,020) and fourth all-time in defensive rebounds (575). He most recently spent time during the 2014-15 season with Brussels (Belgium).

Canton will wrap up their participation in the NBA D-League Showcase Cup with a matchup against the Austin Spurs (San Antonio Spurs affiliate) on Saturday, January 17th at 6:00 p.m. The Charge will return home for School Day with an anti-bullying theme on Wednesday, January 21st at 11:00 a.m. against the Delaware 87ers (Philadelphia 76ers affiliate)!
