Bugs invade Progressive Field once again during Indians-Astros

It looks like it's that time of year again.

On a hot, humid night at Progressive Field, the midges made their return to the baseball field.

The invasion started around the fourth inning, when the bugs were hovering around the pitcher's mound. With Colby Rasmus up to bat for the Astros, Carlos Carrasco threw one in the dirt after one of them flew into the Tribe starter's eye.

Play was stopped momentarily to have the team's trainer flush it out.

The very next pitch, Carrasco gave up a go-ahead 2-run homer to Rasmus.

Mike Napoli may have gotten rid of some of them with one swing of the bat in the fifth inning, but the bugs have bothered both teams all night long, who have been trying to vehemently swat away their distractions.
