Hyde gets things started Carlos Hyde opened the scoring with a 3-yard touchdown run. Hyde would get 25 carries on the day and rushed for 146 yards. Devin Gardner strikes twice Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner found Roy Roundtree for a 75-yard touchdown catch and ran for a score to put Michigan up 14-10 early in the second quarter. Corey Brown finds the pylon Buckeyes wide receiver Philly Brown dives into the end zone giving Ohio State a 17-14 lead. Brown caught 8 passes for 95 yards. Denard gets loose Denard Robinson breaks attempted tackles by cornerback Travis Howard and Christian Bryant on a 67 yard touchdown run to put Michigan up 21-17. Braxton runs the 2-minute drill Braxton Miller drove the Buckeyes 30 yards in 5 plays covering just 40 seconds to set up a 53-yard Drew Basil field goal that made the score Michigan 21, Ohio State 20 at the half. Defense dominates the second half Ohio State's defense held Michigan to just 60 net yards in the second half, after allowing 219 in the first. Basil not perfect, but good enough Drew Basil finished off the scoring with a pair of field goals in the second half. Basil finished 4-of-5 in field goals. Sacked Nathan Williams sacked Devin Gardner in the fourth quarter and forced a fumble. C.J. Barnett interecpted Gardner to seal the win. The celebration begins Fans stormed the field to congratulate the undefeated Buckeyes. Urban Meyer's first Buckeye squad finished the season 12-0, but was not eligible for post-season play.
