ST. PAUL, Minn. — Looking for a spark after six straight losses, the Minnesota Wild recalled speedy forward Jason Zucker on Wednesday.
Zucker, 21, was recalled from Iowa of the American Hockey League where he has eight goals and five assists in 22 games. Minnesota reassigned defenseman Jonathon Blum to Iowa. Blum was recalled on Monday but was a healthy scratch in Tuesday night’s 2-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues.
The Wild host the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night for the third game of a four-game homestand.
Zucker, a second-round draft pick in 2010 by Minnesota, has 18 shots in seven games in the NHL this season, but is scoreless. He has four goals and three assists in 33 NHL games with the Wild over the past three seasons.
