Vikings linebacker Barr lands on reserve/COVID-19 list
The Minnesota Vikings put linebacker Anthony Barr on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday.
Barr is the eighth Vikings player to be placed on COVID-19 reserve, joining defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo and first-round pick Justin Jefferson.
Barr will begin his seventh year with Minnesota since being drafted ninth overall in 2014. In 2019, the 28-year-old registered 79 tackles, 1.5 sacks, four passes defensed and one forced fumble.
The reserve list was created by the NFL for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons. Clubs are not permitted to disclose whether player is in quarantine or is positive for COVID-19.
